O R D E R

The instant Writ Petition has been filed by the wife of a deceased Conductor working in the respondent Transport Corporation seeking a 1/4

Mandamus for providing compassionate appointment to a suitable post considering her educational qualification.

2. The petitioner's husband, who was working as a Conductor in the respondent Transport Corporation had passed away while in service on 24.07.2017. The petitioner has given an application on 10.11.2017, seeking compassionate appointment. Thereafter, a reminder has been sent on 11.11.2024. Since no orders have been passed, the present writ petition has been filed.

On instructions, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the Transport Corporation is providing appointment on compassionate grounds based upon the seniority maintained by the Corporation. According to him, the petitioner is listed in Serial No.663. As and when the seniority reaches, they would consider the request of the writ petitioner for compassionate appointment.

4. In view of the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to consider the application of the writ petitioner for compassionate appointment as and when the petitioner reaches seniority.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
