O R D E R

The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to grant marriage benefits to the petitioner's daughters namely, Sarathambal and Padmapriya and scholarships to his daughter Saranya, under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social Security and Welfare Scheme, 2006.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner seeks marriage benefits and scholarship benefits to his three daughters namely, Sarathambal, Padmapriya and Saranya. He submitted an application for the grant of marriage assistance to his two daughters,

Sarathambal and Padmapriya and educational assistance to his daughter Saranya. In this regard, the petitioner sent a representation dated 10.11.2011. Since no action was taken, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's daughters namely Sarathambal and Padmapriya were given marriage assistance as requested by the petitioner. He further submitted that only two daughters are entitled for the marriage assistance and that was already given. When only two daughters can be given marriage assistance and that was already claimed by the petitioner, the claim of the petitioner for marriage assistance for his daughters Sarathambal and Padmapriya again cannot be entertained.

4. The other claim of the petitioner is that the educational assistance for his daughter Saranya to the tune of Rs.6,000/- (Rupees Six Thousand only) for scholarship in X, XI, XII and for passing X, XI, XII Standards should be provided. Hence, a sum of Rs.6,000/- (Rupees Six

Thousand only) is claimed towards the educational assistance. Since already representation dated 10.01.2011 was submitted, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2011 with regard to grant of educational assistance to the petitioner's daughter Saranya and pass appropriate orders within a period (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
