ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioners apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 294(b), 324 of I.P.C., and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Harassment of Women Act, in Crime No.14 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

3. On going through the FIR, it is seen that the fist petitioner had caused cut injury on the left hand of the defacto complainant with aruval. The victim is said to be taking treatment https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.917 of 2020 in Hospital. However, there are no serious allegations against the second petitioner. Therefore, anticipatory bail is granted for the second petitioner. This petition is dismissed as regards the first petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the second petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvadanai, and on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only)with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that the second petitioner shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation. The second petitioner shall comply with the conditions stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C scrupulously.

5. The second petitioner shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail shall stand dismissed.
