This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the petitioner's daughter in her original name "Keerthi Varhini" as per her earlier birth certificate dated 11.12.2012 issued by the second respondent and based on the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026.

2.With the consent of the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had approached the respondents for obtaining Varhini. However, in the said birth certificate her daughter's name was wrongly mentioned as 'Hemamalini' instead of 'Keerthi Varhini'. Hence, in order to rectify the said mistake, the petitioner has already given a representation to the respondents on 2/5

09.01.2026. Since the said representation remains unconsidered, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition. 4.Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026 and issue birth certificate by correcting the name of the petitioner's daughter as 'Keerthi Varhini' instead of 'Hemamalini' which was wrongly entered in the birth certificate earlier issued by the respondents, within a period of two [2] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
