ORDER

This petition has been filed praying to quash the charge sheet in C.C.No.1 of 2013 on the file of the Special Court for Anti Land Grabbing Cases, Madurai.

2.The petitioners are arrayed as A1 & A2 in Crime No.36 of 2012 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 341, 420, 448, 468, 471 and 506(i) r/w. 120(B) of I.P.C., and the case has been pending for disposal in C.C.No.1 of 2010 on the file of the Special Court for Anti Land Grabbing Cases, Madurai.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the second respondent submitted that a joint compromise memo has been filed by the parties and duly signed by them and attested by their respective counsel stating that the dispute between them has been amicably resolved and both parties have entered into a compromise agreement and the parties are also present before this Court and therefore, the 2nd respondent/defacto complainant is not willing to prosecute the case. 4.In the light of the compromise memo, no purpose will be served by keeping the Criminal Original Petition pending. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.In the result, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the charge sheet in C.C.No.1 of 2013 on the file of the Special Court for Anti Land Grabbing Cases, Madurai, is quashed. The Compromise Memo shall form part of the record.
