ORDER

This petition has been filed praying to quash the C.C.No.43 of 2011 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi. 2.The petitioners are arrayed as A1 to A6 in Crime No.12 of 2010 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 406 and 506(ii) of I.P.C., and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Women Harassment Act, 2002 and the case has been pending for disposal in C.C.No.43 of 2011 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the second respondent submitted that a joint compromise memo has been filed by the parties and duly signed by them and attested by their respective counsel stating that the matter in issue between them has been amicably resolved and therefore, the 2nd respondent/defacto complainant is not willing to prosecute the case.

4.In the light of the compromise memo, no purpose will be served by keeping the Criminal Original Petition pending. 5.In the result, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the charge sheet in C.C.No.43 of 2011 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi, is quashed. The Compromise Memo shall form part of the record.
