O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent police to secure the detenu, viz., Rejinabegam, W/o.Abubacker Siddiq, aged 29 years and Asan Mohideen, S/o. Abubacker Siddiq, aged 8 years before this Court and set them at liberty.
2. During the earlier hearing on 22.01.2024, the respondent police produced the detenues before this Court and since the first detenue was not willing to go along with the petitioner / husband, this Court referred the matter to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench for amicable settlement and directed the matter to be listed today. Accordingly, the matter is listed today.
3. A report has been filed by the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, wherein it is stated that though the first detenue is not willing to go along with the petitioner, she has agreed to send the second detenue, minor Asan Mohideen, along with his father / petitioner. The petitioner and the detenues are also present before this Court and the first detenue Rejinabegam stated that he has no objection for sending her son with the petitioner.
4. Recording the same, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. The Mediation Report dated 23.01.2024 shall form part and parcel of the order.
