No.1206 of 2022 and order dated 24.03.2022 2.High Court's C.O.Letter, Even number dated 15.03.2022 -------------------------------- I am to invite your kind attention to the High Court's order cited above, wherein it has been directed as follows:- The petitioner/A2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 465, 468, 471, 166, 216 and 506(1) of IPC, in Crime No.40 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, who is the Zonal Deputy Tasildhar, Koolapandi, Madurai North Circle, Madurai, has issued a patta without verifying any documents in favour of A1, who is not the owner of the land. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has involved in similar offence in Crime No.27 of 2021 and in respect of that, he approached this Court seeking https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

anticipatory bail in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.14272 of 2021 and this Court has granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner based on the report submitted by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai. 4.The learned Government Advocate would submit that the Village Administrative Officer has rejected the application made by the first accused. Thereafter, the petitioner threatened the Village Administrative Officer for issuing patta in favour of the first accused.

5.It is seen from the records that the petitioner's earlier application was dismissed by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.21103 of 2021, dated 29.11.2021.

6.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, Registry is directed to call for a report from the Revenue Divisional Officer/Sub Collector, Madurai, with regard to the alleged transfer of patta issued in favour of A1, on or before 18.03.2022.

7.Post the matter on 18.03.2022.

In this connection, when the matter posted on 18.03.2022 and further posted on 24.03.2022 this court directed the Registry to send a reminder in respect of report with regard to the alleged transfer of patta issues in favour of A1 on or before 18.03.2022 is not yet received.

In this connection, you namely the Revenue Divisional Officer/Sub Collector, Madurai is hereby required to submit your report in this aspect, to this Registry on or before 29.03.2022 as the matter stands posted on 30.03.2022.
