ORDER

This Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 02.01.2016.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the proposed accused by giving false promise that he will make arrangement for job to the petitioner's son obtained a sum of Rs.15,00,000/-, but subsequently the said proposed accused failed to get a job and also refused to return the money and hence the complaint was lodged on 02.01.2016, but so far no action has been taken.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that one of the proposed accused is residing at Chennai and hence the second respondent has not taken any steps in the said complaint.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, since the nature of allegations are serious, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals that the offences have occurred within the Theni District, then he has to register the case and investigate the matter or he can forward the records to the District Crime Branch, Theni District. In either way, the complaint should be disposed of within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
