This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking to call for record relating to the First Information Report registered in Crime No.203 of 2022 on the file of Sub Inspector of Police, Melur Police Station, Madurai District for offences under Section 17(i) and 24(i) of the Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 and Section 328 of the Indian Penal Code and quash the same.

The learned Additional Pubic Prosecutor for the respondent police submitted that after completing the investigation, the Final Report was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur by way of e-filing in No.LTN20220001677C202500789 on 05.11.2025. Hence, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. 2/4
