ORDER

Mr.A.Kannan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. The prayer in the Writ Petition reads as follows:- "To issue a Writ of Mandamus, to conclude the enquiry commenced in Na.Ka.Pi. 11/37838/2024 on the file of the 1st respondent in respect of the land comprised in Sur.Nos. 205/3, 206/5A and 485/13 situated T.Alangulam Village, Athakothankudi Group, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, within a stipulated time period in accordance with law on the basis of the representation dated 20.11.2024."

3. Heard the learned counsels on either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

4. The petitioner has preferred an appeal before the first respondent to cancel the patta issued in favour of the respondents 2 to 5. Since, no action was taken, the present writ petition came to be filed

5. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner herein, notice to the respondents 2 to 5 is dispensed with.

6. The first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after putting notice on the respondents 2 to 5 and after giving them an opportunity of hearing.

7. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs. 20.01.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No jbr 3/4
