ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the accused No.4, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kulithalai to dispose of the case in C.C.No.33 of 2016, within the stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the respondent has filed a charge sheet against four accused persons stating that they have committed offence under Sections 408, 467, 468, 471, 420 r/w 120(B) I.P.C. Based on the said charge sheet, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kulithalai has taken the case in C.C.No.33 of 2016 and thereafter the petitioner herein has filed a petition to discharge him and the same was dismissed on 17.07.2017 and thereafter even though the case was adjourned for seven hearings, the respondent did not produce any witness.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that some reasonable time may be fixed for disposing of the aforesaid case.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kulithalai is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.33 of 2016 within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondent is directed to produce the witnesses without taking unnecessary adjournments and the accused also directed to cross-examine the witnesses seeking without unnecessary adjournments.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
