The petitioner is working as BT Assistant (English) in Government Higher Secondary School, Melavalavu, Madurai District. He was placed under suspension by the Joint Director of School Education (Personnel), Chennai, vide proceedings in R.C.No.065968/C3/S1/2023, dated 30.05.2024, on certain allegations. While so, the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation and he was also permitted to retire from service, by a proceedings in R.C.No.065968/C3/S1/2023, dated 24.10.2025. According to the petitioner, though the disciplinary action initiated as against this petitioner on 30.05.2024 is still pending, he was not served with the charge memo so far, even after his representation, dated 28.11.2025. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court. 2.Today(27.01.2026), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing 2/4

for the respondent submits that the charge memo has already been issued to this petitioner.

3.Since it is reported that the charge memo has already been issued to this petitioner, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings as per the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.81, Human Resources Department, dated 04.08.2022. No costs.
