Prayer in WP(MD). 2602/ 2019 :

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.7,650/- per acre towards compensation for crop failure for the season 2016-17 under the crop insurance scheme for the 22.98 acres within the stipulated time by this Honourable Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the Respondents.

2. This Court had directed the first respondent Society to forward the proposal to the third respondent in respect of crop Insurance claim of the petitioner and the third respondent was directed to consider the case of the petitioner and disburse the amount as per the Scheme.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the order of this Court has not been complied with so far.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents brought to my attention the communication dated 10.07.2019 stating that the insurance claim of the petitioner can not be considered favourably.

5. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the said communication dated 10.07.2019. With such liberty, the Contempt Petition is closed.
