RESPONDENTS Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to pass orders to 2nd respondent to provide the petitioner a suitable Gun man security officer, while I am in Thanjavur District. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of MR.R.VENKATRAMAN, Party in Person and of MR.V.NEELAKANDAN, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondents, the court made the following order:-
The second petitioner herein has been instrumental in bringing to the notice of the authorities about the theft of 5 feet tall granite Pillaiyar Idol and also missing of Perumal Temple, both several years old.
2. Originally, the second petitioner herein wanted to implead himself as an intervenor in this matter, and this was allowed on 26.04.2019 and he was arrayed as the sixth respondent. Subsequently, after hearing all sides, this Court was satisfied that the second petitioner herein ought to be the petitioner rather than the respondent and therefore, transposed him as a co-petitioner to be presided as the second petitioner.
3. Today, the second petitioner has come forward interalia with a few applications, one of which is presently taken up by this Court concerning protection to the second petitioner herein and to provide a Gun-Man to him.
4. Given the gravity of the matter, this Court now directs the second respondent to cause such necessary enquiry on the complaint preferred by the petitioner and take such appropriate decision as may be necessary to protect the life, limb and liberty of the petitioner.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is allowed.
