ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to revise the petitioner's pay scale with effect from 01.01.2016 and to disburse the benefits due to him by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.12.2019. 1/3
2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner retired from service on 30.06.2016 as a Special Sub Inspector of Police. While granting terminal benefits to the petitioner, a sum of Rs.50,149/- and Rs.9,000/- have been deducted from the DCRG and TLS respectively.
3.The learned Counsel further submits that the Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules, 2017 was implemented vide G.O.Ms.No.303, dated 11.10.2017 for revision of pay and other allowances. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents seeking revision of pay and other allowances, based on the above said Government Order and to return the amount deducted from this DCRG and TLS. However, there is no response from the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 4.Though this writ petition is filed seeking a larger relief, during the course of hearing, the petitioner confines the prayer for a direction to the respondents to pass orders on the petitioner's representation.
5.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the official concerned would pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner within a time stipulated by this Court.
6.In the light of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.12.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
