BEFORE THE MADURAI BENCH OF MADRAS HIGH COURT DATED : 19.02.2024

CORAM

THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE G.R.SWAMINATHAN Chinnakaruppan ... Petitioner Vs.

1.The District Collector, Pudukottai District, Pudukottai.

2.The Tahsildar, Illuppur Taluk, Pudukottai District.

3.Periyaiah 4.Adaikalam 5.Pandian 6.Periyasamy ... Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1/4

respondents 1 and 2 to take necessary action on the petitioner's representation dated 23.11.2023.

For Petitioner : Mr.M.Ramu For Respondents : Mr.K.S.Selvaganesan Additional Government Pleader for R.1 & R.2 Mr.G.Mathavan for R.3 to R.6

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner alleges ex-communication at the instance of the private respondents.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader as well as the learned counsel appearing for the private respondents clarified that there has been no ex-communication of the petitioner. They contend that there is a dispute between the petitioner on the one hand and his father Subbaiah on the other. This is being given a different colour altogether. The learned counsel appearing for the 2/4

petitioner alleged that Vari is not being collected from him. The learned counsel appearing for the private respondents states that the festival committee is ready to accept Vari from the petitioner herein. I think this should more than address the grievance expressed by the petitioner. 4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
