ORDER
The petitioner, with a grievance that an application filed by him under Section 63(b) of the HR&CE Act before the Joint Commissioner of HR&CE Department is pending from the year 2004, has filed this writ petition directing the first respondent to dispose of the original application in O.A.No.41 of 2021 within a stipulated time.
2. Mr.P.Subba Raj, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2, submits that this application was originally filed before the Joint Commissioner, HR&CE, Trichy in the year 2004 and subsequently, it has been transferred to the first respondent/the Joint Commissioner, HR&CE Department, Thanjavur and re-numbered as O.A.No.41 of 2021. The Joint Commissioner, HR&CE Department, Thanjavur, has also directed the Inspector of 2/4
HR&CE Department to file his report with regard to the said application, but, the same has not been filed. He further submits that they would dispose of the said application within a period of six months.
3. Considering the fact that the original application filed by the petitioner in the year 2004 is still pending without any progress, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to dispose the O.A.No.41 of 2021, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
