2.The petitioner is the mother of the detenue. The detenue is missing since 24.12.2025. A complaint was given and it was registered as Crime No.781 of 2024. The detenue was secured. She was brought to station premises. The petitioner and her husband were also summoned. The detenue is aged about 22 years. She made it clear that she does not want to go with her parents. She had stated in writing that she wants to go to Chennai to work there. The photographs indicating as to what happened in the station have also been produced before us. Since the detenue is a major, it is open to her to chose her life of her own. This habeas corpus petition is not maintainable.
