O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to issue a legal heir certificate to the petitioner, in respect of his father namely Late Thilan Chettiyar, in the light of his representation/application dated 21.12.2023.

2. By consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner may be directed to file an application through online.

4. In view of the above, this Court directs the petitioner to file a fresh application through online seeking legal heir certificate to him in 2/4

respect of his father viz., Late Thilan Chettiyar, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
