Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, 2/5

learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it is suffice if the petitioners' representations dated 19.10.2023, 17.10.2023 and 26.10.2023 respectively, are directed to be considered and disposed of by the 1st respondent within a time frame.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the survey numbers in which the petitioners' lands are situated, are not covered under the crop insurance scheme and therefore, they are not in a position to disburse the insurance amount to the petitioners. 4.

The said submission is stoutly denied by the learned counsel for the petitioners.

In view of the rival submissions, ends of justice would be met by directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioners' representations after granting them opportunities to prove their claim. Accordingly, the respondents are directed to consider the 3/5

petitioners' representations dated 19.10.2023, 17.10.2023 and 26.10.2023 respectively, afford opportunities of hearing to the petitioners and also to permit them to produce materials in support of their claim and then pass appropriate final orders in accordance with law, after considering the materials placed by the petitioners. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
