PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying, to call for the records pertaining to First Information Report made in Crime No.16 of 2023 dated 22.09.2023 on the file of the 1st Respondent Police and quash the same.

O R D E R

The learned Counsel for the Petitioners submits that the Petitioners, who are arrayed as Accused Nos.1 to 4 , had compromised the dispute between them pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, City Crime Branch Police Station, Trichy City, in Crime No.16 of 2023. The Petitioners had also furnished an affidavit along with the seal of Notary Public filed by one Vijalakshmi, on behalf of Member of the Chits, numbering 34 Persons.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions of the Respondent police, would submit that out of 36 depositors, 34 depositors had signed the compromise after receipt of the deposited amount. Two persons had not signed stating that they have not deposited. 3.Recording the compromise memo and the status report filed by the Investigation Officer, the Inspector of Police, CCB Police Station, Trichy 2/4

City, the FIR in Crime No.16 of 2023 is hereby quashed. This Criminal Original Petition is allowed, accordingly.
