Respondents PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 4 to 6 to provide police protection to take possession of Annathana Koodam situated in the Arulmighu Seruvalinga Ayyanar Thirukovil premises at Easanur,Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai - 630 557 to the hereditary turstees of Arulmigu Seruvalinga Ayyanar Thirukoil as per the report of the 3rd respondent dated 14.10.2025 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 4 to 6 to provide police protection to enable the hereditary trustees of Arulmigu Seruvalinga Ayyanar Thirukoil to take possession of the Annathana Koodam situated within the premises of Arulmighu Seruvalinga Ayyanar Thirukoil at Easanur, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District - 630 557, as per the report of the 2/6
3rd respondent dated 14.10.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Mr. M. Muthumanikkam, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for respondents 1 to 3. Mr. A.S. Abul Kalaam Azad, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), takes notice for respondents 4 to 6.
3. The 3rd respondent has submitted a report with regard to the dispute between the hereditary trustees and one Kasi Rajan and Khasi. Based on the said report, the petitioner seeks to take possession of the Annathana Koodam.
4. The 2nd respondent / Assistant Commissioner, HR & CE Department, is directed to consider and act upon the petitioner's representation in accordance with law. If the Assistant Commissioner requires police protection for implementing the same, he shall make a request to the police authorities.
5. Upon such request being made, the 6th respondent shall provide 3/6
necessary police protection to enable the Assistant Commissioner to discharge his duties.
