PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to construct the drainage channel on the western side road margin of the Thiruthanthoni road situated on the eastern side of T.S.No.5 and Block-8 of K.Abishegapuram Division, Woraiyur, Trichirappalli.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to construct a drainage channel on the western side road margin of Thiruthanthoni Road situated on the eastern side of T.S.No.5 and Block-8 of K.Abishegapuram Division, Woraiyur, Trichirappalli.

2. In view of the order, dated 30.10.2023 passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.10082 of 2013, directing removal of encroachment from the public street, the claim of the petitioner herein shall be considered by the authority concerned for the purpose of providing drainage channel for the benefit of the residents of that locality.

3. Eviction of encroachments, providing drainage facilities and basic amenities to the benefit of the residents of the locality shall be done by the authority concerned, without causing any undue delay, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. [S.M.S., J.] [V.L.N., J.] 30.10.2023 (2/2) NCC :
