ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner, to direct the third respondent to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner, based upon the representation of the petitioner dated 10.01.2018. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that already the petitioner gave a complaint before the third respondent and based on the said complaint a case has been registered on 30.12.2017 in Crime No.340 of 2017 for the offence under Sections 294 (b), 323, 427, 506(i) I.P.C., and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act. He further submitted that though the third respondent has registered a case on 30.12.2017, so far no follow up action has been taken and hence the accused persons are again criminally intimidating the petitioner and the petitioner is not living peacefully and hence the third respondent may be directed to give police protection to the petitioner's life and limb.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that the petition filed by the petitioner dated 10.01.2018 is under consideration.
4.Though the third respondent has registered a case on 30.12.2017 in Crime No.340 of 2017 under Sections 294 (b), 323, 427, 506(i) I.P.C., and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act, so far no steps has been taken to arrest the accused persons and as per the petitioner's contention taking advantage of the inaction of the third respondent, the accused persons are criminally intimidating the petitioner. Hence, the third respondent is directed to take follow up action in Crime No.340 of 2017 within a week or otherwise he should give police protection to the petitioner.
5.With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
