O R D E R

The first respondent/ writ petitioner, who is working as a Post Graduate Teacher in a Government Higher Secondary School at Idayakottai was imposed with a punishment of stoppage of 2/6

increment for a period of 2 years with cumulative effect. The appeal preferred by the petitioner was also rejected and, therefore, the petitioner has filed this writ petition as against the order of punishment, dated 04.03.2022 and the order of the Appellate Authority dated 23.01.2023.

2.This Court, while entertaining this writ petition, has granted an order of interim stay on 16.03.2023. The respondents have filed an application to vacate the interim stay on 11.01.2024. The vacate stay application was also listed for hearing on 03.03.2025 and it has been adjourned after vacation. Thereafter it was listed on 05.01.2026. On that day, at request of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition along with the vacate stay application were adjourned for further hearing on 21.01.2026. However, it could not be listed for hearing on 21.01.2026 and it is listed today.

3.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner seeks a short accommodation that he has to file additional typed set of papers.

4.Since vacate stay application is pending from 11.01.2024, the interim order granted by this Court is vacated. WMP(MD) No.1075 of 2024 is allowed.

List the main writ petition on 17.02.2026 for final hearing.
