ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry based on the complaint given by the third respondent. 2.Heard Mr. Karantharaja, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Prabu Ramachandran, learned Government Advocate(Crl.side), appearing for the respondent Nos.1 and 2.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is the daughter of the third respondent and she is 23 years old. She is a Diploma holder in Nursing and awaiting for job. He further submitted that the petitioner's father namely the third respondent is making arrangements for marriage against her Will and hence she left her home and staying in her relatives house. He further submitted that since the third respondent gave https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

a complaint, the second respondent is frequently calling upon the petitioner to appear for the enquiry and harassing the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate has submitted that the third respondent, being the father of the petitioner gave petition to secure the petitioner and direct her to live with her parents. He further submitted that the petitioner did not appear for enquiry. On the other hand, she has sent a letter stating that she is in a safer position and she does not want to go with her parents.

5. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent has to ascertain whether the petitioner is a major and if she is a major, then leave her to live according to her choice.

6. With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
