This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to hear the petitioner's application dated 10.05.2022 (Aa.5/840/2022) filed under the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and Rules, 2009 and dispose of the same in accordance with law.

2. By consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Nagercoil has already dismissed the petition filed by the petitioner under the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, on 23.11.2022, stating that the petitioner himself has got sufficient money to maintain himself.
