ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for an alleged offence punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 506(i) IPC in Crime No.674 of 2014, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the Intervenor and learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State.
3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is running a business in the name of Singo Sign Industry and that he had appointed one Saravanan as Watchman. According to the petitioner, the said Saravanan is alleged to have conducted unauthorized chits from various subscribers and had collected money and absconded.
4. On the contrary, it is alleged by the defacto complainant that this petitioner and Saravanan together were running the Finance Business and had given jewel loan to various depositors and after collecting around Rs.15 lakhs, they both have absconded. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
5. There are substantial materials on record to show that this petitioner and Saravanan were together doing business and had
cheated depositors. In view of the serious nature of allegation against this petitioner, it is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
