O R D E R

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. 2.This Writ Petition is filed to quash the order in No. 1491/R1/2013, dated 08.03.2013 referring premature release and to direct the respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 31.01.2013 for premature release. The petitioner claimed that he was entitled to special remission, as per G.Os., stated in the affidavit. However, the respondent had not granted the benefit of special remission to the petitioner. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that this Court had modified the sentence imposed on the petitioner by reducing the sentence from 3 years rigorous imprisonment to two years rigorous imprisonment and thereafter, the petitioner has been released, after serving the sentence.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter 5.Hence, the above Writ Petition is dismissed.
