O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent, namely, the Board of Governors and the third respondent, namely, the Director, Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli, to appoint the petitioner in the post of Professor in the Marketing Area of the Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli with effect from 15.11.2016.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined service in the Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli as Associate Professor in the year 2012. Thereafter, the petitioner has made an application to the Director of Indian Institute of Management, 2/6
Tiruchirappalli, for appointment to the post of Professor in the Marketing Area of the Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli in terms of clause 6.3 of Chapter-6 of the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli Society Service Regulations, 2015. Though the petitioner has repeatedly made representations on various dates, the same has not been considered. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.08.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.1 has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court. 3/6

Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 23.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
