This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register a case, based upon the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 01.10.2017.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner's husband has caused cruelty by demanding dowry and hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 01.10.2017 and CSR.No.174 of 2017 was issued, but, but, so far, no action has been taken.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents has submitted that the enquiry is still pending.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then, he has to register a case within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and proceed in accordance with law.
5. With the aforesaid observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
