O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to measure and subdivide the property in Survey No.265/1A1, to an extent of 1 Acre and 9 Cents, situated at Vembar Village, Vilathikulam Taluk, Tuticorin District, with the aid of the second respondent, based on the representations made by the petitioner dated 24.11.2025 and 18.12.2025 to the first and second respondents respectively, pursuant to the petition submitted by the petitioner bearing No.2025/0123/28/010985 dated 19.11.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that an online application has been submitted for the survey of the Page No. 2 of 5

property in question and for demarcation of its boundaries and the representation has also been made to the first respondent.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, would submit that after consideration of the claims of the parties, proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in question in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

5. Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 19.11.2025 and the representation dated 24.11.2025, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after consideration of the claims of all parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that before surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties and that if required, the police assistance may be taken. 6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
