O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the first respondent Police to direct the second respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.216 of 2017, within the time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the second respondent has registered a case on 23.08.2017 in Crime No. 216 of 2017 for the offences under Sections 406, 420, 294(b) and 506(2) of IPC, based on the complaint given by the petitioner, but, so far, final report has not been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent has submitted that the investigation is under progress and he seeks three months time for filing final report.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.216 of 2017, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
