O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.41 of 2016, within the stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the respondent has registered a case on 07.02.2016 in Crime No. 41 of 2016 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) of IPC r/w. Section 3(1) of TNPPDL Act, based on the complaint given by the petitioner, but, so far, final report has not been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent has submitted that the investigation is under progress and he seeks three months time for filing final report.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.41 of 2016, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
