O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to monitor the collection and usage of donations given for the following temples situated in Mathavankurichi Keelur, Thiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District:- i. Arulmigu Sri Manthirmoorthi Swami Temple ii. Sri Mup Peedathipathi Amman Temple iii. Sri Perumal Samy Temple iv. Sri Arasoor Perumal Temple

2. It is informed that the petitioner has also filed an application before the first respondent in O.A.No.6 of 2022. However, till date, no orders have been passed. It is also informed that the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court by its order dated 30.08.2023 in W.A.(MD) No.475 of 2023 had directed the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application filed under Section 63 of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

3. Having considered the arguments advance by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to pass appropriate order positively one way or the other in O.A.No.6 of 2022, finally, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
