PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to make a proper enquiry in the appointment of A.Kombai Village Assistant by the fourth respondent through the order of appointment vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.112/2022/A1, dated 29.08.2022 and further to make necessary action to appoint the petitioner as Village Assistant as per his representation dated 21.09.2022.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the third respondent to make a proper enquiry in the appointment of Village Assistant in A.Kombai, by the fourth respondent vide proceedings in Na.Ka. No.112/2022/A1, dated 29.08.2022 and further to make necessary action to appoint the petitioner as Village Assistant as per the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.09.2022.
2. The case of the petitioner is that based on the paper publication issued by the fourth respondent, the petitioner has applied for the post of Village Assistant in A.Kombai Village. The petitioner and one Subramani are the native of A.Kombai Village. But, the fourth respondent has appointed the fifth respondent as Village Assistant. Hence, he made a representation to the respondents on 21.09.2022 to cancel the appointment of the fifth respondent. But, till date, no order was passed. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the third respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.09.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 21.09.2022 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as other interested parties, if any.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
