ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to reimburse the medical expenditure of Rs.5,96,527/- with interest at the rate of 9% per annum forthwith.

2. The petitioner worked as a Head Draught Man Land Survey and Land Records Office, Tirunelveli and retired from service on 30.06.2011. He is a subscriber of New Health Insurance Scheme for medical reimbursement. The petitioner has made a medical claim with respect to the medical expenses incurred by him vide applications, dated 26.11.2020 along with all medical records. The 4th respondent on 29.12.2020, has forwarded the same to the 3rd respondent. On 20.04.2021, the petitioner had sent another petition to the 3rd respondent. The 3rd respondent vide communication, dated 23.06.2021 informed the petitioner that on 11.02.2021, his application has been forwarded to the 4th respondent. The 4th respondent has forwarded the 2/5

petitioner's claim to the 2nd respondent for further action. However, the same is kept pending endlessly. Hence, this writ petition came to be filed.

3. When the matter is came up for hearing, the learned Counsel appearing for the 5th respondent submitted that the case may be considered in the light of the orders passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.22355 of 2023, dated 21.12.2023.

4. In view of the same, the 5th respondent is directed to consider the claim of the petitioner in the light of G.O.Ms.No.165 Finance (Health Insurance) Department, dated 01.06.2022 r.w G.O.Ms.No.280 Finance (Salaries) Department, dated 24.06.2020 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
