O R D E R

The petitioner prays for a mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petition for rectification dated 05.03.2013 filed in terms of Section 84 of the Tamilnadu Value Added Tax Act (in short 'Act').

2. Though no counter has been filed, Mr.Murugan,learned Additional Government Pleader confirms on instructions that the petition is pending before the respondent. He expresses no objection to the mandamus sought.

3. In the aforesaid circumstances, seeing as the petition for rectification dated 05.03.2013 has been pending inordinately, there shall be a direction to the Commercial Tax Officer, Karaikudi, to dispose the same within a period of four weeks from today after hearing the petitioner and in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. This writ petition is allowed in the above terms. No costs.
