ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking a direction to the Additional Mahila Judge, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari District, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.18 of 2020 within the time stipulated by this Court. 1/4

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that though a final report in C.C.No.18 of 2020 was filed by the Inspector of Police, Kottar Police Station, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari District, wayback in the year 2020, till date, there is no progress in the case.

3. Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent, on instructions, would contend that the case is posted for trial and that there are 8 witnesses in this case.

4. Since the case is pending from the year 2020, the Additional Mahila Judge, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari District, is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.18 of 20202, as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
