This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the second respondent not to harass him and his family members under the guise of an enquiry.

Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner is an accused in Crime No. 264 of 2023 of Pattiveeranpatti Police Station, Dindigul District, for the offence punishable under Section 394 of Indian Penal Code and investigation is pending.

3. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to follow the guidelines issued in the decision in D.K.Basu Vs. State of West Bengal reported in AIR (1997) SC 610.
