PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners application dated 27.08.2021 and the reminder dated 08.12.2021 and survey, locate and mark the four boundaries of the property in Survey No.3, Patta No.383, Kumarapatti Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukottai District. With a grievance that the petitioner's application, dated 27.08.2021 for survey of his land has not been considered by the respondents, he has filed this writ petition. 2.Today(05.09.2023), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner. 3.Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that when the respondents went to the spot in the month of January 2022, there was some objections from the villagers. Therefore, the survey could not be completed.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader and considering that the application submitted by the petitioner in the year 2021 has not been considered so far, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Survey 2/5

Officer to conduct an enquiry under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923 after issuing notice to the adjacent land owners and conclude the survey within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
