Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's application taken on file by the respondent in O.Mu.No.7583/A4/2024, dated 15.11.2024.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for a mandamus, directing the respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's application in O.Mu.No.7583/A4/2024, dated 15.11.2024.

2. The subject property in Natham Survey No.498/32, Kottur Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai Disitrict, is the ancestral property of the petitioner. During survey, the said land has been erroneously entered as held over. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an application to the respondent on 15.11.2024 to remove the endorsement and grant natham patta to the petitioner. The said application was taken on file and hearing also commenced. However, the proceedings were not concluded and final orders were not passed. Hence, the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that as the proceedings have already commenced, reasonable time be granted for concluding the proceedings and passing final orders.

4. In view of the above submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, the respondent is directed to conclude the proceedings and pass final orders on the petitioner's application, dated 15.11.2024, within

the timeline mentioned in the Circular, dated 17.07.2023, of the Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai, on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 21.01.2025 NCC :
