ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner, to direct the second respondent to register a case, based on the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 20.08.2017. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is working as an Assistant Professor https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ in Scott Christian College, Nagercoil, and the proposed accused, who is practicing as an Advocate has brutely attacked the petitioner on

20.08.2017 and hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint on the same day before the second respondent, but so far no action has been taken.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that after the receipt of the said complaint, C.S.R. No.572 of 2017 has been issued and the enquiry is still pending. 4.Taking into consideration, the complaint is pending from 20.08.2017, second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law. 5.With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
