Prayer: Criminal Original petition filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondents police to take necessary action by expediting investigation against the accused persons in crime no.24 of 2018 dated 25.01.2018. ORDER

This Criminal Original petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to expedite the investigation and file final report at early in Crime No.24 of 2018.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the first respondent has registered the case on 25.01.2018 in crime no.24 of 2018 under Sections 294(b), 323, 406, 420 and 506(1) of I.P.C and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act 2002 and under Section 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, but, thereafter, no further action has been taken on the said F.I.R and hence he requests the Court to direct the second respondent, who is the Investigating Officer, to expedite the investigation and file final report at early. 3.The learned Government Advocate has submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner the first respondent has registered a case in Crime No.24/2018 on 25.01.2018. He further submitted that the accused person also gave a complaint and on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that basis a counter case in Crime No.25 of 2018 has been registered, and both the cases are pending for investigation before the second respondent.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file final report in both the cases within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original petition is disposed of.
