ORDER

When the Contempt Petition was taken up for hearing, Mr.Pandiarajan appearing for the first respondent states that the Commissioner of Melur Municipality had originally passed an order in Na.Ka.No.6840/24/A1 dated 05.03.2025, rejecting the request of the petitioner. Subsequently, on coming to know of the order passed by the Tahsildar on 06.03.2025, the order dated 05.03.2025 has been recalled. The said statement is recorded.

2. Mr.Pandiarajan further states that in compliance with the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD).No.10140 of 2024 dated 18.10.2024, the Commissioner has mutated the records maintained by the Municipality in the name of the writ petitioner today (13.03.2025).

3. As the order of this Court has been complied with, though with some delay, I am not inclined to initiate contempt. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition is closed.
