ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner, to direct the second respondent to register a case, based upon the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 11.01.2018.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the proposed accused persons introduced themselves as Income Tax Officers and collected a total sum of Rs.10,00,000/- from the petitioner. Subsequently, the petitioner came to know that they are not Income Tax Officers and hence the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 11.01.2018, but, so far no action has been taken.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that after receipt of the complaint, it was found that the place of occurrence comes within the jurisdiction of Sellur Police Station and hence the said complaint has been forwarded to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Inspector of Police, Sellur Police Station Crime, Sellur and the enquiry is still pending.

4.Recording the aforesaid submissions, the Inspector of Police, Sellur Police Station (Crime), Sellur, is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed in accordance with law.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. The copy should be marked to the Inspector of Police, Sellur Police Station (Crime), Sellur. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(crl side) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To
