ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to take appropriate action on the complaint preferred by the petitioner.

2. Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice for the respondents, on instructions, would contend that after lodging a complaint with the respondent police, the petitioner left India and thereafter he did not appear before the respondent police.

3. Recording the said submissions, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent police and on his appearance, the second respondent is directed to enquire the case and dispose of the same by following the guidelines issued in the decision in D.K.Basu Vs. State of West Bengal reported in AIR (1997) SC 610 and as per the Circular of the Additional Director General of Police, Law & Order, Tamil Nadu, in C.No.18/ ADGP/ L&O/Camp/2024, dated 09.01.2024. 2/4

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
