This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant patta in the petitioner's name for plot Nos.283, 284, 165, 166, 167, 168, 169 and 170 in Sri Ambiga Nagar Layout, Batlagundu Village, Survey Nos.1064/2, 1064/7 Batlagundu Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has passed away, and accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed as abated. However, liberty is granted to the legal heirs of the deceased/petitioner to approach the competent authority seeking appropriate remedy, if any. No costs. Consequently, the connected Writ Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
