ORDER
The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking for a direction to the Judicial Magistrate, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.221 of 2015 within the time stipulated by this Court. 1/4
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that though a final report in C.C.No.221 of 2015 was filed by the Inspector of Police, Thalavaipuram East Police Station, Virudhunagar District, wayback in the year 2015, till date, there is no progress in the case.
3. Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent, on instructions, would contend that out of 13 witnesses, only one witness was examined.
4. Since the case is pending from the year 2015, the Judicial Magistrate, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District, is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.221 of 2015, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
